A Brief Summary

Reconstructing Our Future is a $24.2 million fundraising campaign that was created to support the vision of the transformative renovation of our school building and establish a "Fund for the Future" to secure the financial future of our school.

Our Campaign Goals Include:

  • The Jan Koum Hub, a 5,000+ square foot second-floor center containing the Anita Wornick Library, additional modular classroom space, and a dedicated mezzanine-level space for middle school students

  • An awe-inspiring Ulam Gadol in the Lent Limmud Center seamlessly flowing to the outdoors with maximized functionality

  • A significantly expanded and upgraded Kosher Kitchen

  • A beautiful new Outdoor Gathering Space for performances, school ceremonies, and community celebrations with the capacity to seat up to 300 people

  • Additional office spaces throughout the building that will enhance academic excellence and student support

A new "Fund for the Future," managed as an endowment to supplement our school with crucial revenue that will complement tuition and annual fundraising. This Fund for the Future is critical for the long-term success and sustainability of our school. By investing in the tangibles and intangibles, we are investing in our students - giving them room to grow and explore, and reach their full potential.

Why Now?

For more than 40 years, Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School has been at the center of Jewish life, learning, and community for families of the North Peninsula. We educate leaders and partner with families to raise mensches. We amplify meaning and joy across the community. We are honored to stand on the shoulders of those who founded this exciting and vital institution.

As the needs of our students and community have evolved, so has our vision for Wornick's growth and future. We are launching the first comprehensive campaign in our school's history, the Reconstructing Our Future Campaign, which will invest in Wornick's building, our outstanding faculty, our caring students, our engaged families, and the North Peninsula Jewish community. Building on decades of success and rooted in our shared history and values, this investment will not only strengthen and sustain Wornick today but create a beacon of light that will shine on the entire North Peninsula Jewish community for generations to come.
