Middle School Clubs and Activities
Clubs
Middle school students enjoy a variety of club and activity options. The Math Club meets weekly and their experience culminates in a trip to Great America at the end of the year for Math and Science Day. Wornick’s Math team also offers math support during the lunch period twice a week for anyone that needs additional support in Math. Wornick's Robotics team also competes against other schools.
Additional monthly lunchtime clubs can include: Cooking and Baking, Music, Sports, Board Games, Books, and Art.
Specialized T'fillah
Once a week, middle school students participate in specialized T’fillah. Options may include: Conversations about G-d, Musical T’fillah, Jewish Meditation, and Personal Prayer.
Student Leadership
Student Council offers an opportunity for leadership and community service. Roles include President, Vice-President, 7th Grade representative, 6th Grade Representative, Hebrew Representative, Spirit Guru, and Secretary. The Student Council meets once a month, plans spirit days and activities for the middle school, including the annual “Color Wars” at the end of the year. “Color Wars” is a spirited event of games and competition that includes 5th through 8th Graders, and serves as an introduction to middle school for the 5th Grade.
After-School Sports Teams
Wornick offers a robust after-school sports program in Middle School (cross-country is also open to 5th graders), with teams including: girls volleyball, boys flag football, cross-country, golf, basketball, soccer, and tennis.
