This message contains important information. Please read through the entire letter.

Dear Wornick Parents,

Thank you so much to our parents, middle schoolers, and teachers for a wonderful two days of conferences. We thank our teachers for their hard work in preparing for these individualized discussions, and our parents and middle schoolers for their engagement in this important process.

It has been an incredibly special week that included moving community gatherings for Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'Atzmaut. Thank you to all who were able to join us. Moments like these truly remind us how connected we remain, even during this "physically distanced" time.

Remote Learning Survey
Thank you very much to everyone who shared their feedback in the latest remote learning survey. Based on the feedback we have received, we will be making adjustments in TK-3 to add additional synchronous learning time.

These additional sessions are currently being entered into students' Google calendars, and can be accessed the same way that students access their current meetings -- through calendar.google.com or meet.google.com, while logged into their Wornick Google accounts. These additional sessions will begin Monday, May 4, so please be sure to have your child check their updated schedules Sunday evening. An updated schedule will also be emailed to grades TK-3.

For all grades, please remember that your student's one on one check in time with a teacher can be used for academics, social emotional support, or a combination of both. Each student's check in will be tailored to his or her needs based on the current topics, your child's progress, and his or her social/emotional well-being. Please also reach out to your teacher if you need to schedule additional time with them for support or clarification of an assignment. Finally, if you are having technical challenges, please contact tech@wornickjds.org with your questions or concerns.

Introducing Tamar and Noam! Shinshinim - Visiting Israeli Young Ambassadors
We have some very exciting news. We are delighted to share that we will have two Israeli young ambassadors joining our school next year. They are part of a Jewish Agency program that sends Israeli high school graduates to volunteer in Jewish communities around the world for a 10-month period prior to beginning their army service. Their names are Noam and Tamar, and they will be engaging with our community, helping to plan programming, and interacting with our students throughout the day, and at Gesher. Please join me in warmly welcoming them to Wornick. We invite you to view this video to get to know them.
