Dear Wornick Community,

Please Complete this Survey by Monday, June 15
To assist our planning for the reopening of school in August, we kindly ask for your feedback through this survey by June 15. We greatly appreciate your input so that we can better understand our community's needs as we plan for the opening of school.

Procedures for Exchange of Items Beginning Tomorrow, June 11
We are looking forward to seeing you beginning tomorrow for the exchange of items borrowed from school, and the return of your students' belongings. Please review the list of items that need to be returned here.

Please adhere to your scheduled time. If you are late, please email info@wornickjds.org and we can arrange for a different time. Upon arrival, the gate will be open for you to enter (masks are required for entrance) and wait with your items to drop off in the Rose Garden. An administrator will call you to the picnic tables to drop off your items. Please be sure any items being returned to school are cleaned, in a bag, and ready for our staff to handle. After drop off, proceed to the pick up tables with the staff member to help you. You will be able to also peruse lost and found, but our staff will select items at your direction and place them on a table for you to retrieve. Please understand that no one will be able to enter the building at this time, nor will the restrooms be available for use.

Notes About Devices:

  • ALL devices and cords must be returned, with the exception of graduating 8th grade students.
  • 6th and 7th Grade Students: your devices must be turned in for updates; you will have a 3-7 day window without a device in order to be able to get your specific device back for the summer. You will receive an email when your device is ready for pickup.
  • TK-5 students: If you requested to borrow a device for summer as of last week, one will be ready for you. If you have not requested one yet, please email tech@wornickjds.org and we will accommodate you as soon as possible.

Google Hangouts
If you would like Google Hangouts for your student to remain open over the summer, please email tech@wornickjds.org with the name of your student and grade. Students and families, as always, are responsible for ensuring that their student is using technology appropriately and in accordance with Wornick's technology and behavior policies.

Online Summer Camp Sign Ups Are Open!
Online Summer Camp registration is officially OPEN! Please visit https://www.wornickjds.org/for-our-families/summer-camp to check out the offerings which include classes for K-2, Grades 3-5, and Grades 6-8. Please note that these classes are designated by the academic year your child just finished, so if your child just completed K, look for classes for K. If your child just completed 2nd grade, look for classes for Grade 2. There are three tabs on the registration page: Schedule, Teachers and Class Descriptions. To begin, please click on the blue "Registration" link on the right.

There are 4 one-week sessions offered beginning June 22. Our deadline to register is June 17. We need time to make sure that each student has any materials necessary to participate. Please note that if there are not enough registrations, we will notify you of any cancellations. If you have any questions, please email Esther Gillette at egillette@wornickjds.org.

Report Card Availability on Veracross
Our teachers are diligently preparing their closing remarks for each of your students and looking forward to sharing their insights. Report cards will be available via Veracross, for a two-week period, at the end of June. We will send a notification when the portal is ready for you to download and print your student's report card.

Summertime Kabbalat Shabbat Starts This Friday
It was so heartwarming to learn from your feedback that you would like to continue our virtual Kabbalat Shabbat gatherings this summer. Please join us this Friday, June 12 at 2:30 pm for our first virtual summer Kabbalat Shabbat via Zoom.
