Dear Wornick Parents,
During the past four days the school's indoor spaces underwent a thorough deep cleaning. We have also been in touch with the county's health department and have been checking in with them regularly about our health and safety protocols in light of our positive COVID-19 case. Thank you to all the 4th grade families who had their students tested this weekend. All close contacts continue to quarantine at home and all test results thus far have come back negative for COVID-19. The lack of transmission within the school is another indication that our health and safety protocols are working well within the Wornick community. Based on the information we have today, our medical advisors, as well as the county health department, approve of Wornick reopening for in person learning tomorrow.
Students may return to on-campus learning starting tomorrow for TK - 3rd grade and 5th grade. Additionally, siblings who are related to a student in 4th grade will be required to stay off-campus until after the winter break.
Because we have a number of staff members who are quarantining, your student's schedule for the week may change. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding this week as we navigate the reduced faculty on-campus. If there are any changes to our schedules that impact our at home learners, you will hear from your classroom teacher directly.
We want to thank our community members who have stepped up in helping deliver materials to families who are quarantining. If there are additional parents who are able to volunteer to drive materials to families, please reach out to Annie O'Donnell at email@example.com.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at 5 pm for the Jewish Studies candle lighting and story time.
