This message contains important information. Please read it in its entirety.

Dear Wornick Community,

I hope you all had a wonderful Passover break. It has been a delight seeing you all back online this week in Tefillah, classes, and check-ins. It has also been a reminder of how much I miss seeing you all in person, and how eager we are to get back to the normalcy of life soon. I have been very encouraged by the success that the Bay Area has had in flattening the curve, and I know that although this has been an incredibly challenging time, we have saved lives, and protected the vulnerable in our communities.

As has been my custom on Wednesdays, I've recorded a video message for you all about this week's Torah portion. I also wanted to share a few other updates with you.

Tefillah Tomorrow and Kabbalat Shabbat Friday
Please join us for an all school Tefillah tomorrow at 8:30am.

Please also join us for a musical Kabbalat Shabbat with Toby Pechner on Friday at 2:30pm.

Yom Ha'Atzmaut Video Reminder
Almost all of our spots for the video have been filled. Thank you! The few that are left are highlighted in yellow. Please take a moment to sign up here. Please submit all pictures to Maia Tchetchik Sharir. Pictures need to be in by Friday, April 24th.

Parent Education with School Counselor Sara Calonico
Our school counselor, Sara Calonico, will be hosting a second workshop discussion for parents on Monday, April 27th at 4pm. The topic of discussion will be "Family Reward Systems and Incentives for Remote Learning."  If you have any questions to submit in advance, please email Sara at scalonico@wornickjds.org. She is happy to help, and is here for all of us. The Zoom link and password will be provided the day before.

In the coming days and weeks we will have a number of updates for you including an additional remote learning survey, Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) and Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day), plans for celebrating our year end events, and updates about our teaching staff for next year. Please look out for those updates shortly.

I look forward to seeing you all on your screens soon, and am eagerly awaiting the day when we can reunite in person.

L'Shalom,
Adam
