Begin Your Wornick Journey

Dear Prospective Wornick Parents,

Thank you for considering a Wornick education for your child.

Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School is an independent, coeducational program for learners in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade, and is open to all applicants.

As a Jewish Community Day School, Wornick’s approach to community is deeply rooted in the values of Arevut (community-mindedness) and Achrayut (social responsibility). We believe that Wornick is more than a school and its impact is felt beyond our walls and our students. Students, families, and our professional community members thrive within the fabric of an engaged school community grounded in connection, belonging, and shared experiences.

Through joyful and dynamic project-based learning, students at every grade level are empowered with critical thinking skills that take them beyond the quest for answers to a deeper search for understanding and connections across disciplines. Wornick students learn to take risks, articulate their understandings clearly, share them confidently with others, and advocate for themselves with conviction and respect.

Hebrew language and Judaic Studies are a core part of our program at every grade level.

Athletics, technology, music, visual arts, and public speaking opportunities strengthen our academic program and encourage students to discover new passions. Differentiated learning opportunities enable each child to be challenged and supported at their own level.

Wornick graduates are excelling in high school and beyond. They are engaged citizens who value life-long learning and personal excellence. At every grade level, our challenging academic program and social emotional learning opportunities are preparing students to thrive.

We warmly invite you to learn more about our joyful learning community by scheduling time for a meeting with our Director of Admissions & Community Engagement or attending one of our events. Please complete an inquiry form to arrange a time, or call us directly at 650-378-2611.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Wornick is more than a school. Wornick is a place that encourages children to thrive, grow, and give back, a place where families connect and care, a place where teachers do so much more than just teach. Wornick is a community -- a place that creates a sense of belonging, a place one is always happy to come back to, part of who we are. Maia T., Alumni Parent
As an alumni parent, I've seen our Wornick graduates and their friends go onto high school and enjoy great success. Not only academically, but as well-rounded kids with a strong sense of self, of right and wrong, of how to be a good person in the world, how to get along with others -- how to achieve success in life. David S., Alumni Parent
At Wornick, we were accepted and loved as individuals. We brought ourselves to school each day and our teachers invested in us, embraced us, loved us for our differences and the unique perspective our much smaller selves brought to the classroom. Sydney C., Class of 2002
We are raising intelligent, compassionate and motivated young people who will mature into outstanding members of our Jewish and secular communities.Rabbi Dennis Eisner, Dean of Jewish Life at Kehillah High School and Alumnae Parent
