At Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade are known, challenged, and supported as individuals. Our rigorous academic program develops more than knowledge—it builds the critical thinking, complex problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ethical decision-making skills students need to thrive in high school and beyond.

Through engaging, project-based learning and cross-disciplinary experiences, Wornick students move beyond memorizing information to asking meaningful questions, making connections, developing original ideas, and applying what they learn to the world around them. They learn to take intellectual risks, communicate their thinking with confidence, and approach challenges with curiosity and resilience.

Our Jewish day school experience adds another important dimension. Hebrew language, Jewish Studies, and Jewish values are woven throughout the educational experience, giving students a strong foundation in identity, community, responsibility, and respect. We prepare students to lead with both intelligence and integrity, confidence and compassion.

From our TK/Kindergarten program through middle school, Wornick offers students opportunities to explore their interests and discover their strengths through technology, arts, athletics, public speaking, enrichment, and a wide range of middle school electives. Every experience is designed to help students become capable, curious, and engaged learners.

TK–5 School Hours: 8:15 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday; 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Friday
Middle School Hours: 8:15 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday; 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Friday
Early Morning Care: Begins at 7:30 a.m. at no cost
After-School Care: Available hourly until 6:00 p.m. (4:30 p.m. the day before holidays)

I never thought a Jewish education would help me in a secular school, but I was beyond wrong. The analytical skills I developed through studying Torah and Jewish Studies translated perfectly to in-depth literary analysis skills which I used in various classes for the rest of my academic career.

The small class sizes and one-on-one guidance I received from teachers at Wornick helped to develop my communication and interpersonal skills. In high school and college, I was never afraid or hesitant to ask my teachers for clarification or extra help (to my surprise, my classmates were).
