TO CONNECT TO THE FILE SERVER

From a MAC:

1. Make sure the Finder is active (if it is not then click on the finder in the dock)
2. From the GO menu choose CONNECT TO SERVER
3. In the SERVER ADDRESS field enter “smb://192.168.0.3” and press CONNECT
4. Under Username enter your EMAIL username (for example: matt) and your password.
• Your default password is “wornick”
5. Under “Select a share” choose Users and press OK
6. Open up the STAFF folder
7. Find the folder with your EMAIL USERNAME <- This is YOUR FOLDER
8. When you are done, drag the Users icon to the trash to disconnect from the server.

From a PC:

1. Click on the START menu and choose RUN
2. Enter \\192.168.0.3
3. Under Username enter your EMAIL username (for example: matt) and your password.
• Your default password is “wornick”
4. Open up the USERS folder
5. Open up the STAFF folder
6. Find the folder with your EMAIL USERNAME <- This is YOUR FOLDER
7. When you are done, close the window.

You will note that the student folder is empty, as is all other staff folders.  You ONLY have access to your folder as well as the ~ALLSTAFF folder and the ~ALLSTUDENTS folder.  No one else has access to your folder…except me.
