Ahh...the last of the “short” weeks.
Kindergarten: No Class
1st Grade: 1A – We created fall pictures in Kid Pix. The kids found an appropriate backgrounds then drew themselves doing something fall related. They then put their names on them and printed them out.
1B – We played with stamps and addition. The students were asked to find certain stamps then group them on the page based on addition problems I gave them. They then put their names on them and printed them out.
2nd Grade: 2A — We began a unit where the students had to create a family tree. They ordered their relatives by generation, starting with them and their siblings, then their parents and their parents siblings, then their grandparents. They then connect the names into a family tree. We will finish this next week and print it out.
2B — No class
3rd Grade: 3A – No class
3B – We continued using Kid Pix. This time we investigated the painting tools. They played with the paint brush and spray can tools to make fun stuff appear on the screen
4th Grade: The students began researching their powerpoint projects. They used google to find 10 websites and bookmarked them.
Homework: Typing logs are due next week.
5th Grade: No Class
Homework: Typing logs are due next week.
6th Grade: We talked about Powerpoint. I showed the students how easy it is to create a powerpoint presentation. We talked about the rule of 7 and using graphics sparingly. The students then worked on their presentation in class. They will present next week.
Homework: Assignment 6 – Powerpoint presentation. Send a copy of your presentation to homework@wornickjds.org
Homework: Typing logs are due next week.
7th Grade: We talked about Powerpoint. I showed the students how easy it is to create a powerpoint presentation. We talked about the rule of 7 and using graphics sparingly. The students then worked on their presentation in class. They will present next week.
