Kabbalat Hasiddur - May 2010 - Receiving the Siddur

Approximately 300 students, teachers, parents, grandparents and VIPs were led by Wornick's robust and musical first grade class in T'fillah and a 30 minute musical play incorporating 8 songs in Hebrew, English and one in Yiddish with the first graders sharing what's special about "Ani" (I or me). Accompanied by the school's music teacher, choreographed and directed by the amazing first grade teaching team, the first graders delighted and taught our entire community. The Ulam Gadol (multi-purpose room) was filled with ruach and multiple first graders were thankful to their parents for sending them to our school.

Wornick is first and foremost a community. At Kaballat Hasiddur, the warmth and enthusiasm with which our kids led the community and performed for the community was matched only by the enthusiasm and spirit in which their efforts were received. Not only did they show how much they learned, but they showed how confident they were that their efforts would be well received. They were funny, sweet and inspiring. They'll remember what they achieved and as their parents, we have a cherished memory. Thank you to the teachers, school and community. - Joelle Kaufman

Wow, what a great event today! Hamorim Ela and Sari, Karen and Sabrina, thank you. Kabbalat Siddurim was perfect.

The kids were on all of their lines, the jokes went off, it was fabulous to watch them work with each other, gifts were great! and they were gorgeous.

Thank you very much and shabbat shalom
