Mitzvah Day at PSC
Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1:06PM Peninsula Sinai Mitzvah Day is Sunday, May 6th!
RSVP with your project choice by this Friday, April 27th
We will meet at Peninsula Sinai Congregation (499 Boothbay, Foster City) at 8:45 am for a light breakfast before departing for projects at 9:30 am.
Please bring children's books to donate to Kids Read and non-perishable food to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank!
Mitzvah Day Projects:
Rebuilding Together, 10 am to 4 pm. **You do not have to volunteer for the entire time, you may come for any portion of the day. Please let us know when you RSVP what time you plan to volunteer. ** Our project includes sorting materials returned from National Rebuilding Day projects at the warehouse in Redwood City. Volunteers must be 14 or older, please. (Wear comfortable shoes).
Second Harvest Food Bank, 10 am-noon, sorting food to be donated to community agencies around the Bay Area. (Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes).
San Mateo County Parks habitat restoration: 10 am-noon (bring a picnic lunch for after the project, wear hats and bring water!)
The Atria, singing and visiting with residents: 10 am-11:30am
As always, Mitzvah Day is open to the entire community! Please bring friends, but let us know how many adults and children will be joining you, and for which projects!
