At Wornick, parents, grandparents and all our VIPs are welcome. Parents are welcome to linger in the under our tent to catch up or to join our school body for T'fillah. Parents are welcome to attend Board meetings and faculty coffees. Naturally, parents are invited to read in the library and volunteer to chaperone our many integrated class trips.
Our parents find that Wornick is an extended family that is fun and supportive. At our family Shabbat dinner, families from all grades enjoyed a kabbalat shabbat and a delicious meal from our wonderful school chef - Rachel. The din was loud and happy. Throughout the year, our families have opportunities to socialize - MAC Makeover night, class barbeques, Havdallah under the Stars, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim parties - there is always something happening at Wornick to make you feel welcome.
At Back-to-School Night this year, our Board asked our parents you chose and love Wornick. The answers were inspiring to our faculty, staff and community:
- Our creative teachers who assess and innovate to adjust the curriculum and their techniques to the learning styles, strengths and needs of our students
- Our nurturing environment that provides your children with opportunities to experiment and grow as students, Jews and citizens
- Our supportive and dynamic community who create a Jewish home away from home at Wornick
