  • We were so lucky to have reknowned artists visit this week! Dan Almagor came from Israel to share stories and songs with our middle school students,and Judith Viorst, author of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day came to visit grades 2-5. A great time was had by all!

Wornick To-Do List

  • High Holidays Challah Orders
    Round and braided challahs are available to pre-order for the High Holidays. The deadline for Rosh Hashanah is Friday, September 19 at Noon and the deadline for Yom Kippur is Tuesday, September 30 at Noon. Return this order form with payment to the main office.

  • Lulav and Etrog Orders
    Sukkot is just around the corner, right after Yom Kippur. This year it starts on the sunset of October 8th. If you are building a sukkah, you need a Lulav/Etrog set for blessing. Deliveries will be made to school for your convenience just prior to Sukkot. Return this order form with payment to the main office by Wednesday, September 17.

  • After-School Chugim Program
    Please find attached the revised Chugim booklet! Classes are starting! Please note that unfortunately the MindLabs chug will be postponed until winter. We are always looking to bring more fun options! Stay tuned!

  • Back to School Forms
    Please remember to complete the Back to School forms that were sent home this summer, and return them to school office as soon as possible. Thanks!

  • Hot Lunch Updates
    If you would like to be on our Hot Lunch Sub List so you can step in to help if we are in a pinch, please email Pam at pbodin@wornickjds.org. You will get email notification when we are short handed and you can email that you will take the spot! So easy and fun.

    Also anyone can buy milk at lunch. Plain milk is $0.50 and chocolate milk is $1.00. Plain milk is included with hot lunch, but chocolate milk is extra. We also put ice water out for all at lunch time.

  • Prepare for Yom Kippur with Wornick's eScapegoat

  • NEW Policy Regarding PE Clothing (Grades 5-8)
    Students may wear any blue Wornick logo wear designated for PE, or any plain blue cotton or performance tee shirts designed for athletic use. Athletic bottoms should be black or blue, moveable and comfortable. Appropriate athletic shoes are required and NO jeans are permitted. Logo wear may be purchased via Land’s End (see below).

  • Wornick Logo Wear at Lands' End!
    You can now order Wornick logo wear and PE clothes at Lands' End through their school uniform program. Click here to get started. After choosing an item from our school's customized shopping page, use the "Logo Preference" option to select a Wornick logo to be added to your item. For additional ordering information, please see the How-to-Order instructions or call 800-469-2222 for customer service.

  • Celebrating Simchas with "People of the Book"
    Celebrate a simcha of a Wornick child by supporting the Library and recognizing the child! Birthdays, births, Bar and Bat Mitzvot, graduations — anything!
