  • Lost and Found
    Please visit the Lost and Found in the lobby and claim your missing shirts, outerwear, water bottles, lunch boxes and maybe even your silverware... When you reclaim them, PLEASE LABEL THEM. In January we will donate them to a needy cause.

  • Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed
    THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE LUNCH CREW has room on a few days for some new volunteers to help serve. Most of these openings will be available as of January so if you are interested please contact Pam at pbodin@wornickjds.org. She will assign them on a first come basis:
      Monday - one every other week spot
      Tuesday - one every other week spot
      Wednesday - one every other week spot, one full time spot
    Check out the action and get a delicious hot lunch!

  • Lunch Box Reminder
    Parents please do not send any glass containers of any kind in your children's lunch boxes. It is too dangerous to have kids eating over cement with food containers that can shatter if dropped. Thanks!

  • Chai Excellence Fund
    Happy December! As we approach the end of the year, please remember if you have not made your contribution to help Wornick reach 100% participation yet, now is the time. It only takes a pledge by December 31 (payment due by end of school year) to count toward our match goal. We have an amazing opportunity to receive an additional $125,000 from a very generous donor and this can only be accomplished with your generosity and genuine love for Wornick. Please see below for our match terms. Thank you for supporting the school and for helping Wornick continue its tradition of excellence and caring.

    *Match terms are:
    1. All new gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.
    2. Any donor who increases their gift by at least 20% will have the increase matched.
    3. Any donor who contributes $1800 or above will have their gift matched with $1800.
    4. Any donor whose last gift was $1800 or above, who increases by at least 20%, will have their increase matched plus $1800.
    All gifts must be secured by December 31, 2014 to be eligible for the match.

  • Feast Your Mind
    Save the date for Feast Your Mind to be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015! Now is the perfect time to make your family and friends aware of our wonderful school - please email development@wornickjds.org any people whom you would like to make sure receive an invitation to Feast Your Mind.

    This year is going to be SPECTACULAR! Topics this year range from food, authors, tech entrepreneurs and the arts and more! We are looking for sponsors (they begin at only $250). Benefits are listed on our school website www.feastyourmind.com.

  • Attention Preschool Families!
    The December 7 Preschool Academy @ Wornick has been postponed until Sunday, January 11 from 10-11:30 am. Please join us then for a fun morning of hands-on family learning and play with Wornick's outstanding teachers, especially for children ages 3 to 5 and their families. Our theme will be Electricity! Space is limited. Please RSVP here or call 650-378-2611.

  • Applications to Wornick for 2015-2016
    are now available on the Wornick website! Siblings of current Wornick students will receive priority scheduling for Kindergarten screening dates if their applications are received by January 1, 2015. The deadline for all application materials is January 16, 2015 for elementary school and January 23 for middle school.

  • Applications for Tuition Assistance
    for the next school year will be due on February 9, 2015. We strongly suggest that you make an appointment with your tax preparer and plan to complete your 2014 tax return so that it can be submitted to FAST in advance of the February 10 deadline. The application will be available beginning December 1. Applications submitted after the deadline will receive secondary consideration.

  • JFCS Food bins in the RCWJDS lobby
    Winter is a good time to remember those less fortunate than us. Jewish Family and Children's Services and Second Harvest Food Bank work together to bring donated food to those in need. If you are so inclined, please feel free to drop off non-perishables in the bin in the lobby.

  • Wornick Logo Wear at Lands' End!
    You can now order Wornick logo wear and PE clothes at Lands' End through their school uniform program. Click here to get started.
