  • Middle School Open House
    Sunday, November 23 from 1:30 to 4 pm
    Please invite your friends and neighbors, post this flyer to your Facebook page, and help Wornick to spread the word! Current fifth graders and their parents are most warmly invited to attend. Please do let Karen Alexander know if you will be here by emailing admissions@wornickjds.org.

  • Lost and Found
    Is your child missing some glasses? We have unclaimed pairs in the office for kids. One is a Ray-Ban (blue and black) and the other couple are reading glasses. Come and claim them...

  • Chai Excellence Fund
    ​Congratulations to 2B and KA for reaching 100% parent participation! Put February 13 from 1-3pm on your student's calendar for an afternoon of fun! Overall parent participation is at ​71%. If your class did not make the November 15 deadline, don't fear, the next incentive is near!

    — Those classes reaching 100% from November 16-December 1 will participate either in a party with Dr. Gereboff ​and Mrs. Haire ​for K-5 or a free ticket to middle school movie night for grades 6-8.
    — For classes reaching 100% by December 31, you will receive ​one free hot lunch. ​ Please remember that incentives are not cumulative.

    *Match terms are:
    1. All new gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.
    2. Any donor who increases their gift by at least 20% will have the increase matched.
    3. Any donor who contributes $1800 or above will have their gift matched with $1800.
    4. Any donor whose last gift was $1800 or above, who increases by at least 20%, will have their increase matched plus $1800.
    All gifts must be secured by December 31, 2014 to be eligible for the match.

  • Feast Your Mind
    Exciting plans are underway for the 5th annual Feast Your Mind celebration on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Topics range from food, authors, tech entrepreneurs and the arts, to name a few. We are looking for sponsors (sponsorships begin at only $250). Benefits are listed on our website, www.feastyourmind.com. Please think about where you do business or your company for possible sponsorships.

  • Applications to Wornick for 2015-2016
    are now available on the Wornick website! Siblings of current Wornick students will receive priority scheduling for Kindergarten screening dates if their applications are received by January 1, 2015. The deadline for all application materials is January 16, 2015 for elementary school and January 23 for middle school.

  • Applications for Tuition Assistance
    for the next school year will be due on February 9, 2015. We strongly suggest that you make an appointment with your tax preparer and plan to complete your 2014 tax return so that it can be submitted to FAST in advance of the February 10 deadline. The application will be available beginning December 1. Applications submitted after the deadline will receive secondary consideration.

  • JFCS Food bins in the RCWJDS lobby
    Fall is a good time to remember those less fortunate than us. Jewish Family and Children's Services and Second Harvest Food Bank work together to bring donated food to those in need. If you are so inclined, please feel free to drop off non-perishables in the bin in the lobby.

  • Wornick Logo Wear at Lands' End!
    You can now order Wornick logo wear and PE clothes at Lands' End through their school uniform program. Click here to get started. After choosing an item from our school's customized shopping page, use the "Logo Preference" option to select a Wornick logo to be added to your item.
