Welcome to SchoolHub

Hi Fourth Grade Parents,

For the remainder of the school year, the fourth grade community will be testing out a password protected online community called Wornick SchoolHub.  This site is designed to improve communications between teachers, students, staff and parents.  The side is now setup and the fourth grade teachers will be posting class news, homework assignments and other pertinent information online.  We hope you will use the site and let us know your thoughts on it (what works, what doesn’t) so we can improve it for use by our entire starting in the fall.
 
 
To register and access the Wornick SchoolHub, please follow the directions below.

1. To start:
 

• Go to http://www.wornickjds.org/community.html <http://www.wornickjds.org/community.html>
  

• Log-in using the box on the right titled  “Parent and Student Login”
  

Your username is your e-mail
Your password – for this pilot group – is “pass”
 
2. Parent First-Time Registration:
 
After you log-in for the first time, you will be asked to do the following:
 

• Agree to the on-line Terms of Use
• Review your Personal Information:
  
  • You will see your Profile Page with your name, address, phone numbers and e-mail. Please review these and make corrections if needed.
  • You can also change your privacy settings if you don’t want other parents to see your e-mail and phone numbers.  Choose “No” next to “Display Contact Information in Class Contact List?” to do this
    

Please note that unless you make this change your email address and phone number will be viewable by other families in your child's class.
 

• Click “Save” when you are done.
• Change Your Password
• You are now registered, and ready to use the Wornick SchoolHub.

3. Quick Tour of SchoolHub

• The left-hand Blue Navigation bar
• Shows you, your children, and below each person, the classes or groups they are a part of.
• Click on a name to open and edit the Profile Page for that person.
• Click on any Class or Group name to go to that group’s page.
  

Homepage News and Calendar

• Will show all the aggregated news and events for the school, for your children’s classes and for your groups and activities
  

Class Pages

• Homework/News postings, and a class Calendar, show information for this class or group only.
• There is also a Contacts list of all the students and parents in the class. For your children’s classes, you will see other parents’ phone and e-mail contact information.
  

Getting Back Home

• You can always return to the Home Page by clicking on the School Banner or on the “Wornick Homepage” link on top of the page.
  

 
4.    Keep in Mind
The Wornick SchoolHub is a private online community. Only parents, faculty and some students have access to the site. So we ask you to please keep your logon and password information to yourself, and not share it with people outside the school.
 
5.    Help
