We welcome Kindergarteners who will turn 5 by November 1st.1. Schedule a Visit
- Contact Judy Thalheimer, Director of Admission to schedule your personal tour using our online form, by emailing admissions@wornickjds.org or by calling 650-378-2635.
- Attend an Open House with your child or other event to learn more about our school and meet our students, faculty and parents. RSVP using our online form, by emailing admissions@wornickjds.org or by calling 650-378-2635.
- Complete the on-line APPLICATION AND GENERAL FAMILY INFORMATION. Applications are due on or before January 30, 2012.
- Include a recent photograph of the applicant (optional) and send a copy of your child’s birth certificate to the Director of Admission, Wornick Jewish Day School, 800 Foster City Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404 or via e-mail to admissions@wornickjds.org.
- You will be prompted to pay via credit card, a non-refundable application fee of $100.00.
- We suggest that you keep a copy of your completed application.
- Download and fill out the top portion of the STUDENT EVALUATION FORM. Remember to sign it.
- Take the STUDENT EVALUATION FORM to your child’s current teacher beginning in November, along with a return envelope addressed to the Director of Admission, Wornick Jewish Day School, 800 Foster City Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404. Ask him/her to complete it and mail it to us. This form is due to Wornick Jewish Day School by January 30, 2012.
- For current Kindergarten through 4th grade students, download, complete and sign the REQUEST FOR STUDENT RECORDS and take it to your child’s school office. The school will mail the records to our school. The records are due to Wornick Jewish Day School by January 30, 2012.

4. Schedule a Student Visit- Shadowing for prospective students in grades 1 and above, is scheduled throughout the fall and winter. Students are asked to spend two days in the classroom. During the visit, prospective students participate in classroom and school activities. Contact the Director of Admission, Judy Thalheimer at admissions@wornickjds.org or 650-378-2635 to make arrangements.
- Prospective K student on-site visits will be held on February 12, 15 and 22, 2012.
Upon completion of the above steps, the Admission Committee meets to carefully review each student to ensure success at Wornick.
- Admission decision letters are mailed on March 15, 2012
- Admission responses and enrollment contracts are due by March 22, 2012
