The Chai Excellence Fund
The Chai Excellence Fund ensures the future of our school. The contributions of every family and the broader community give us the resources to keep classes sizes small, create innovative programs such as our leadership curriculum and innovate to address the needs of children with many learning styles.
Every gift matters and makes a difference. Foundations and corporations view participation (particularly in The Chai Excellence Fund) as an indicator of a school’s strength. Strong Chai Excellence Fund participation levels from parents, alumnae, faculty and staff can help Wornick raise crucial dollars from these kinds of funding organizations. This commitment conveys to others that those closest to the school value their experience here.
The 2011-2012 Chai Excellence Fund supports many important programs, including:
- Gifted enrichment educator K-8
- Introductory instrumental music
- Special Needs certified educator
- Technology education specialist
- Coaches and competitive sports teams from Grades 4-8
Tuition at Wornick only covers 75% of the expense of educating a Wornick student. Funds from The Chai Excellence Fund make up the difference. Wornick provides a Jewish education for any child - regardless of family financial capability. Your gift provides scholarships for many of these students.
