Welcome
Welcome to the Wornick Jewish Day School
A Wornick K-8 education engages each student in our vibrant community of impassioned learners. Students are challenged to solve problems while considering ethical implications. They learn to be reflective, to give and to accept constructive criticism, to learn from mistakes and to communicate in compassionate ways. They work independently researching subjects on their laptops and collaborating on academic and community service projects. We cheer our student athletes in physical education, intramural teams and spontaneous flag football games on our enclosed turf field. Our students learn to lead, to speak confidently in both Hebrew and English and to embrace diversity. Wornick students know that their education is a gift obligating them to serve their community.
Wornick alumni are outstanding contributors to their high schools, colleges, professions and communities. Our graduates have robust identities, a strong attachment to Israel and a deep foundation in critical thinking, ethical decision making and continuous learning. I invite you to visit and to join our community of extraordinary learners.
B’Shalom,
Dr. Barbara Gereboff
