Support the Wornick 8th Grade Israel Trip

For the past 5 years the 8th Grade class has experienced the unique opportunity to visit Israel.  In the words of Susan Weintrob, "this is the pinnacle of the children's education at the Day school".  Unfortunately, this has been a particularly difficult year for many families to afford the cost of the trip. We have turned once again to our very generous donors and benefactors but there remains a gap that we need to bridge and are looking to our own school community for help and support.

Through the Jewish National Fund and the "Plant a Tree"  program we can work towards not only the current objective of sending the 8th Grade Class to Israel, but also establish an easy way for future classes to raise money for their own Israel trips.

I encourage you to visit www.jnf.org and learn about the JNF projects and the positive impact JNF is making on the environment.

Very simply, for every $36.00 tree purchase the school will receive $18.00
, a 50% return on each and every investment.

The Wornick Israel Scholarship Fund has been established, a  school account with JNF created and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the trees will remain in the fund for future classes
